San Franciwco Fed wants more women in the labor force

Better Family Policies Could Draw Millions of Workers Into Labor Force, Research Shows
A San Francisco Fed paper compares Canada’s experience with the U.S.
As more women/more anyone enter the labor force wages are driven down.
Yes, the goverment can improve possibilities for women to cope with child care, home care, parent care, etc. at the expense of taxpayer funds,
but the additional workers in the labor force drives wages down.
If it were desirable to take any of the measures the Fed paper mentions, then at the same time the overall hours of work for the pre-existing labor force should be cut (and more) to
offset the labor force addition.
Sorry I can't find links to the WSJ story headlined or to the San Francisco Fed paper which will not be behind a paywall.
